Boomerang Cardiff has become my purpose to get up and make each day count and show my daughter that you only get out of life what you put in, and everyone has a purpose. When I started boomerang Cardiff I never imagined helping over ten thousand families wow it’s been truly amazing. But here we are 3 years on with 9 staff employed and 15 regular volunteers. Over 100 have helped us get where we are today.

When I hit rock bottom 6 years ago it was only myself who could get out of it and I did exactly that from being homeless living in an industrial unit to keeping my business afloat and starting my own family and having the idea of a charity to help working people who find themselves struggling. I do what I do because my amazing support network around me and I know what’s it’s like to be in a lonely place where you only have one thought or option, but looking back it was just an option but living is the only option I have now and living to make a better future for myself family and those who need that extra bit of support more like a hand up in life to get back on track You only get out of life what you put in and you got to get up and go get what’s yours.
