Hi I’m Kristy, I’ve been volunteering here for almost 3 years & love what we do. I grew up in Splott and became homeless at 17 & came across few struggles including domestic violence and in work poverty which eventually led to me suffering PTSD.

I started volunteering with the Boomerang Family to try and regain my self confidence which has then boosted massively with the teams support. What we do here & the people we help have inspired me to volunteer this long because I’ve learned that it really is true ”Nobody can help everyone, but everyone can definitely help someone” as we say here at Boomerang.

Everybody needs a helping hand at some point, even working families are living in poverty & living below the bread line & here we provide the help they need to live a little better.
