While the Covid-19 pandemic intensified in early 2020, and countries around the world imposed local lockdowns and social restrictions, the need for charitable organisations like ourselves grew at a rapid rate. We were contacted by Business Insider, an American financial and business news website that operates 14 national editions as well as an international edition, to see if they could come and do a story on how a grass roots charity was coping with the increased demand during the pandemic and just what was being done about Cardiff's homelessness problem.

Cardiff City Council has taken over 2 hotels in the city to temporarily house homeless people while The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Julie James MS has said "We are absolutely determined that no one will have to go back on to the streets"

Between April - July 2020 we helped Cardiff Council support the positive move on of 238 homeless families/individuals with the essentials they will need to start a home.
